Sunday in Kharkiv

Had a great morning of worship, singing and study in Matthew 10:32-33 reminding ourselves that we must be ready and willing to confess Christ before everyone. Our language barrier here is high but any expression of the love of Christ can be translated by the Holy Spirit. We hope to be a witness in our translators life as we interact with her and her husband over the next several days or possibly weeks.

We ate at McDonald’s again. However, we had a good home cooked meal of spaghetti tonight. Jenny did a great job guessing about the sauce. We found a nice grocery store that has about anything we would need. The day has been rainy but not a washout.

Along the way, we have been talking about tomorrow. I mentioned tonight over supper that I have dreamed many times about the day we would meet our new son…tomorrow could be the day. I think we all have thought about it but now it’s time. There is so much at stake for us and them. We pray for God’s wisdom and discernment over whether we are truly to be his parents.

All of you are so special to us. We so enjoy reading your comments. They encourage us and brighten our day. we laugh out loud and talk about how wonderful people have been in this process. We sense so many prayers going up for us. Thank you! Hope you enjoy the pictures too.
